What is the Outpost?
When Colorado was still an unexplored territory, an “outpost” was a place of refuge, from the wild or the cold. You could go to the outpost for rest, regeneration, and to be in community with other locals.
Chi Alpha, “The Outpost,” at Colorado State University is a place you can come in, be in a community, and learn about and experience God together, through prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and missions. Chi Alpha is a national students movement on over 300 campuses nationwide!
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
Have you ever asked yourself the following:
Who is Jesus?
Can we really know a personal God?
Aren’t all religions the same?
Isn’t Christianity a little out-dated?
Why do I need to know Jesus?
Why do people tell me Jesus loves me?
How can I get to know God better?
I’ve always been a Christian, but what’s my purpose at CSU?
If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, this group is for you! We are a group of students who actively get to know God, together.
We believe that God wants to know each and everyone of us personally, no matter what part of life’s journey you are on. We believe that God doesn’t care about your past, and wants to redeem your future. We do weekly small groups and a weekly large worship service, as well as many other trips, activities, and service projects!
FAQ’s
Q: Are you a fraternity?
A: No. Chi Alpha (XA) stands for Ambassadors of Christ. (2 Cor 5:20)
Q: Do I have to be a Christian to join?
A: No.
Q: What kind of stuff do you do?
A: We believe in discipleship. We believe that it was never intended for man to walk alone. Even if you’re not a Christian, we would love for you to come join us. Let’s figure this out together!

A: No.
Q: Do I have to belong to a certain political party?
A: No.
